Carbon and Energy Professionals New Zealand (CEP)

Our purpose is to address climate change through inspiring, educating and connecting professionals in carbon, energy and sustainability.

CEP runs training and certification programmes in carbon and energy management that develop the capacity of businesses to improve efficiency, productivity and reduce carbon emissions.

We work to raise skills and knowledge levels in the profession. We also administer our certification schemes to make sure our certified members are trusted advisers, whether they are working in in-house roles or as external advisers.

We are the representative voice of carbon and energy professionals. We support our members and organisational partners to further the message of efficiency, productivity and decarbonisation.

CEP is a collegial organisation whose members share their knowledge through technical sessions. These and other events are designed to create a culture of cooperation, with the overarching objective of growing our sector.

Energy Auditor (AS/NZS 3598:2014 Standard) 2-day Online Course (16 & 17 July)

Graduates new to the industry, keen to develop careers in energy and carbon management will gain an excellent grounding in energy efficiency and how to drive it. Experienced auditors who have previously focused on one area of efficiency, such as commercial buildings, will learn how to apply their existing skills to a wider market and develop these skills to be able to provide integrated solutions to clients across buildings, process and transport activities. Covering all parts of the Standard (Part 1: Commercial Buildings, Part 2: Industrial and Related Activities and Part 3: Transport Related Activities) and each of the audit levels, this course provides an excellent grounding in energy efficiency and how to improve it.
